Vectors and transformations — IGCSE Mathematics - International (0607) questions by topic

Vectors here mean magnitude-and-direction work alongside transformation description: finding the magnitude of a column vector, describing fully the single transformation mapping one triangle onto another, and translating a triangle by a given vector on a coordinate grid.

Describe, construct, find and draw are the command words tested, worth from 2 to 7 marks, across 8 questions from 2025 papers. Because 'describe fully' demands every detail of a transformation, such as type, scale factor or vector, practise naming each required element in turn, then use instant marking to check whether your description would count as complete or was missing one defining detail.
