Website authoring — IGCSE Information And Communication Technology (0417) questions by topic

Website authoring tasks ask you to build and edit real HTML pages step by step: placing a table with set widths, embedding video with controls, setting font colours in a stylesheet, or judging design features that suit adult former students rather than children. Produce, complete and state cover both the hands-on build steps and the short written justifications, while explain asks why a chosen layout or feature fits the stated audience.

15 questions from 2023 to 2025 sit here, worth anywhere from 2 to 39 marks, since practical build tasks stack up marks across many steps. Submitting a completed page for marking is the fastest way to see whether a missed attribute or wrongly nested tag has quietly cost several steps at once, rather than discovering it only when the whole task is graded.
