Spreadsheets — IGCSE Information And Communication Technology (0417) questions by topic

Spreadsheet questions require working formulas built to a precise specification: displaying a fastest time using a named range, averaging results for a specific mix number, or building a replicable lookup formula from imported data. Produce, use and complete direct the formula-building steps, while explain and state cover short written answers about what a formula or setting does.

17 real questions from 2023 to 2025 sit here, worth from 1 to as many as 46 marks for the longer build tasks. Because one wrong cell reference in a named range can break several dependent formulas, checking each submission against instant marking catches that single error before it silently affects every later step relying on the same reference.
