Home and local area — IGCSE Chinese - Foreign Language (0547) questions by topic
Questions here place you in everyday settings: working out what someone did at six in the evening from a short dialogue, identifying what there is a lot of in the street from a spoken clue, and reading a clock face against a stated time in a conversation.
Choose and identify are the command words tested, worth 1 mark each, across 10 questions from 2025 papers. Because clock-reading items combine listening comprehension with correctly matching a stated hour to a picture, practise converting spoken times into the clock face shown quickly, then use instant marking to check whether a wrong answer came from mishearing the time or misreading the picture.
