Marketing and promotion — IGCSE Travel & Tourism (0471) questions by topic

Marketing questions range from stating methods of secondary market research to reading a bar chart of cruise-market age segments or sorting PEST statements into political, economic, social and technological categories, so interpreting graphs and tables accurately is central.

Explain, discuss, identify, evaluate and state are the leading command words, worth from 20 to 25 marks, across 32 questions drawn from 2023 to 2025 papers. Because products and services are frequently confused with one another here, practise distinguishing the two before answering, and use instant marking to check whether your PEST categorisation or pricing-policy answer used specific terms rather than a general suggestion like 'lower prices'.
