Listening — IGCSE English As A Second Language (0993) questions by topic
Listening covers short recordings where you identify what was bought on a website, match a speaker's opinion to a multiple-choice option, or complete gapped notes with a word or number heard, worth between 1 and 10 marks.
Identify, state and match dominate here: match specifically means pairing what you hear to a given option, not writing freely. With 133 questions drawn from 2023 to 2025 papers, this is the largest topic on this page, and its short, discrete answers suit rapid practice: submit each attempt for instant marking so a mis-heard number or missed synonym is caught immediately rather than accumulating across a whole recording.
