Composition — IGCSE Turkish - First Language (0513) questions by topic
Composition essays in IGCSE Turkish - First Language require two pieces of 350-450 words, one chosen from an argumentative or narrative section and one from a descriptive section, on prompts such as hope reviving, freedom of expression through art, or being left alone on an island.
Describe and discuss are the command words that recur, and each essay is marked out of 25, split between content-and-organisation and style-and-grammar. What examiners look for

- The most popular home-working discussion prompt drew its best answers from candidates who listed both positive effects, such as less traffic and pollution, and negative ones, such as lost discipline or socialising, while also considering the employer's perspective.
- Examiners note that the strongest persuasive essays supported their argument with well-chosen examples, such as a famous musician, athlete, politician or Galileo, delivered in a convincing style.
