Listening questions in IGCSE English As A Second Language are single-mark, multiple-choice or matching tasks built around recordings, such as what Viola disliked about planting trees, matching a speaker to one of eight statements, choosing a preferred holiday activity from pictures, and identifying what Helen recommends at a festival site.
Identify is effectively the only command word tested here, and every question is worth just 1 mark, so a single mis-heard word decides the point.
