The Periodic Table — IGCSE Chemistry (0620) questions by topic
Naming Group VII elements, comparing halogen melting and boiling points from a data table, predicting the outcome of a halogen-halide displacement reaction, and describing the reactivity and structure of the noble gases are the recurring tasks here, worth 1 to 18 marks across 102 real questions from 2023 to 2025 papers.
Identify, state, predict, complete and give are the top command words, and predict means applying the trend down or across the table to a specific, unfamiliar element rather than recalling a memorised fact.
